I have the 2018 model. Are you able to increase the flex by adding the second bolt or is this just an option on the stiffer flex models?

If you have the 2018 model, it has the Power Shift piece in the back and one screw already installed. You need to remove the liners from the boots, add the t-nut and screw to each boot, and the boot will feel stiffer at the top of the flex pattern.

Thanks for your response. Should any reputable ski shop know how to do this? I'm sure I'd be capable, but I'd rather have someone that's probably drilled through boots before do it. Also would this make the boot feel like a 120 flex or somewhere in between a 110 and 120?

2018 don't need to be drilled (boots that were in shops last year have the hole pre-drilled. Boots from previous years require a hole to be drilled).

Once the top screw is added, the flex will feel and be stiffer in the initial portion of the flex pattern. This adjustment does not stiffen the lower shell. The end result is a boot that feels stiffer in the first half of the flex pattern. It does not feel like the 120 model because this model has a stiffer lower shell.

Ok I must have the 2017 model as the hole is not pre drilled. By adding the 2nd bolt would you describe the flex pattern as awkward? I don't have a problem upgrading to a current model year 120 flex, however, if I can squeeze another season out of these I'd be happy with that....as long as it's not at the expense of a lot of performance or safety

The boot will be stiffer, and more noticeable to you in the first part of the flex pattern. It just won't be as stiff as the 120 model.
