CrunnchyVanManI just built out a fully insulated camper from a Ford Transit Connect... have slept warm as hell on the past couple nights, its been around 25-30 F at night lately and Id say id still be comfy in -5 to 10 F. I spent about 2 grand on the full deal and all the necessary gear for sleeping warm and safe
If you're camping in your car, make sure you've got a 0 degree bag at the bare minimum, if you don't have one or the money to spend on a new bag Id at least get a liner for what you've already got... or a good wool blanket, even a heated blanket is great
Ventilation is probably the most important thing, for any vehicle, keep a window cracked a good amount and invest in a small battery or USB fan to pull moist air out and let fresher air in
