Toe bang

Ok so this technically is not a skiing question but it relates very much to ski bootfitting.

I downsized in my aggressive inline skates for a performance fit. My feet are 273mm long and the skates I bought are 272mm long (taking into account the liner, which is integrated). Naturally, the boot packed out, and I don't have to even tighten it to get a snug fit, but I am still getting toe bang every time I land. Jumping even a 3 or 4 stair is now virtually impossible because I come down too hard. What can i do to remedy this?
The skates have an integrated liner and they have a leather skin on the outside, so idk how well they can actually be bootfitted the same way a ski boot can.

The solution you seek is Booster Straps. You take the Full Tilt strap out and replace it w/ these. Then crank em at the top of the hill. I had FT's that were too small and these made it much more bareable until i could get new better fitting boots. Now i always rock the boosters! They're honestly dope asf !! Deff worth a shot

They're actually GAWDS skates, but those are structurally identical to the USD Carbon Frees.

Full Tilt inline skates would actually probably be super sick no cap.
Since K2 stopped making aggressive skates this year, maybe they could move that over to Full Tilt...in my dreams.

buy long, waxed laces and tie them around the cuff at the top of the eyelets. I think the gawds have a 45 degree strap but the laced cuff pulls your heel back more than the 45 strap does, the strap really just stops your heels from going up.

side note, is a boot with -1mm from your foot length really too small? my feet are 294 and I MUST size down to 285s or else I just have too much damn room. downsizing is pretty much the norm for ski boots but nobody downsizes skates and I don't know why

also consider new footbeds with more arch support if you're still using the stock ones. arch support and a heel raise will make your feet effectively shorter when they're in the boots

I bought Dr. Scholl's sport insoles, and a shop owner is sending me some Sifika heel pads. We'll see how those work.

Prados. It specifically says in the catalog that heat molding does NOT WORK. I would not try it.
The VII souls are cheater souls LMAO, pornstars got way easier once I started using them. Combined with Oysi frames they are great. They just feel shit for dropping stairs rn though, partly bc of the toe bang and partly bc of the bullet wheels on the outside of the frame.

i live in Ny and wont be able to hit a mountain until at least October... I think it would be great practice to rip some of the local handrails around town (plus it would be great footage)
