Hey nerds, why aren’t my photos uploading with good quality to my insta?

okayyy hurs the dealio folks....

i have ave the instagram app on my laptop

(yeah yeah heard the whole shpeel on “why don’t you have it on your phone?” And “it works better on your phone,” I don’t want to be on my phone 24/7, it’s a personal choice get over it!)

moving on..... eh herm... I send the photos from my GoPro to my email with really good quality—-> they get to my email and——> BOOM BAD QUALITY! Different colors and ‘er’thing

anybody have a solution for me???

I can't think of anything more pathetic and useless than someone complaining about the quality of instagram photos....

I mean most videos I get emailed (filmed on iPhone sent to android) will upload super potato unless its sent through something like WhatsApp, or filmed off my phone.

SOLVED

Email has a limit on the size of images which affects quality (depending on your email provider) so that's likely the issue. Pull out your phone and download the app. Not difficult. Phone vs computer is still similar in terms of disconnecting from reality so not sure why you're using that as a reason.

I've never used a laptop to upload pics to instagram but considering all the mindblowingly crisp photos that nat geo photographers upload from real cameras, I assume they use a laptop.

Why are you emailing photos? That's possibly the worst thing you can do. Instead, Plug the SD card into your computer and copy the files to your hard drive. Then upload them. If you don't have a slot for an sd card, I bet they make USB adapters for that. If you don't have any of those ports then you need a new laptop because it sucks.

Also gopro photos are quite shit quality in general. Get a camera. Go pros are only useful for film

I’d recommend a floppy disc. They are much larger so they can clearly hold much more at a better quality.
