Sizing up for rockered park skis

I’m 29. I was a park rat my whole life until about 22 then just stopped skiing. I was always on fully cambered park skis that were center mounted. I was always an advanced skier inside and out of the park. I’m 5’9-5’10 and I range between 170 and 185. I’m an extremely lean and powerful body type. I typically rode skis around 180cm. I just ordered Kartel 96 to use mainly as park skis and I ordered 186 because of the huge amount of rocker. I wanted to save some of the effective edge. Will I regret this?

Nope, I reckon the 186 will suit you just fine, especially if you’re planning to also ride the rest of the mountain with them!

I’m 5-10 and 180 and ride the same ski. The ski is solid and doesn’t feel too long. I’d highly recommend sticking with the center mount. Good luck

HoelNope, I reckon the 186 will suit you just fine, especially if you’re planning to also ride the rest of the mountain with them!

It would work, but you would have to be skiing really fast and be a powerful skier. If I were you I'd take the 171.

I'm skiing 166s rn and I'm hitting a growth spurt so idk how tall I'll be after summer but I think I'm gonna get bentchetler 120s in 176 cause the heavy rocker

Those are pow skis, heavy, floaty, pivoty. Hope you plan on using them primarily for pow. That said, they are a fantastic ski for their intended use.

They're like 1700g per ski in the 184 now. they're super light.

I asked Scott for size recommendations on the Kartel 116, I'm 5'6" and 155lbs and he said 176 for a soft snow ski, I reckon you'll be fine, but 171 would be more manageable for park
