it's unbelievable what that 11 year old can do. every time i see him ski i think "wow how can a 10 year old even do that, when i was 10 i was playing pokemon." did you see his edit from last month? he's gotta be the only 8 year old who would be willing to step to those lines. he's *easily* the best 6 year old big mtn skier i've ever seen in my life. i can't wait to see what he'll do next year as a 5 year old with all this under his belt already

I'm pretty sure the clip that says he's 11 was a segment from a tgr movie that they didn't release on the internet for a while, and the one that says he's 12 was just some quick little project that they churned out about him skiing sum dunes or something.
It's crazy what a kid will accomplish when they don't attend school and their entire life is focused on skiing. I really hope he doesn't get hurt and makes it as a pro. If he doesn't he's fucked. Hopefully he never realizes that or has some old money coming his way

We have had chinese kids training for the winter at my home resort. They are chinese olympic team hopefuls and they range from 5 to 15. These kids were sending kickers doing cork 7s within weeks of first getting on skis. Most of them have a gymnastics background but watching those kids ride is insane. I feel like such a shit skier when I ride near them lol

They're probably worse skiers than you. Going off a jump and doing a gymnastics trick doesn't mean you can ski for shit, only get enough speed on a groomer to go off a kicker and do something you already learned in a gym

Very true. I'm sure I could smoke these kids in the trees, bigger mountain areana but you have to give these kids props where props is due. They are sending it on shit that is concrete and using their gymnastics background to help further their career. Fuck the FIS and the Nationals association but some of these pre teens are off the chart.

Why does the ski industry try to exalt kids that are like 7-12 years old? I remember when I was about 12 just before I joined this site actually - I'd always be jealous of these kids whose parents were about to pull them out of school to become pro skiers. Now I have no idea what happened to any of these characters, and I probably have more money than all of them combined. I know at least 1 of these local legends "first 12 y/o to do a 1260" is now a 22 y/o ski bum alcoholic supported by his rich parents. That was his peak.. 12 years old in a salomon g-suit :\
