skitiHey - has anyone worked for vail? i did and i got into a bad situation. i had to take them to court. i won. it seems like what they did to me is fraud. anyone else?
JimmySlimNo, but can they buy Cairngorm already, and get that shit up and profitable!
theabortionatorYea for vague posts and fresh accounts. Cool story
partyandBSI worked at Breck for 6 years. If you put in a smidge of effort it’s super easy to stand out and get promoted. If you want to make a career climbing the corporate ladder or even an easy route into leadership roles that you can then transfer to a different career path then vail is the place to do it especially at their bigger resorts. People come in for a slack off season and expect the world to be handed to them and complain the whole time and leave. The constant turn over is an opportunity for us ski bums to shine and most people blow it and just party and do minimal. I liked being able to ski 100+ days a season, I liked how easy it was to identify their core values and regurgitate them back to stand out, and I really like their efforts towards having a zero footprint. Seasonal and resort work isn’t foreverone. I work at a compost company now selling soil but the professional development I gained from vail stands out on my resume.
GrandThingsIf you're approaching your personal career in any other way, you're doing yourself a disservice.
