How can I make my 3’s better ?

I know it’s a really bad 3, and please don’t make fun of me. I simply need some help on how I can improve my 3’s!

it just finished encoding. i would just say be in the front seat more, cuz you prob know this you kinda landed backseat. feel that pressure on your shins and you'll be good to go

well i mean if you take off leaning back and being backseat kinda likt you did u cn expect to land farther back. you wanna come into the jump in the front seat shins pressed against the boots and then pop and set correctly, also looking over your shoulder can throw u off balance. t-setting with you arms makes everything very easy.

Try T pose 3s. you threw your right arm up at 180 which made you land backseat

It almost looks like you are not popping. Definitely try to keep your weight forward and give a strong pop when you come off the lip.

Jk. There was another thread about 3s the other day where I commented it took me about 2 years to get mine down as I broke my collar bone in France trying one off a large kicker, just practise practise practise man.

Try some off cat tracks, cause that'll force you to pop, then you'll start to feel more comfortable in the air

In my opinion the 2 most important things by far when doing a 3 are
1) being forward on the takeoff so your body is level and not leaning back
2) looking around the horizon and *not looking down* until it’s time to spot your landing
You were clearly not doing these, and not doing these 2 things will make it really hard to stay on axis and level, the only reason you could land this is bc it was a small jump

As you go into the jump think “stay forward, pop, look around the horizon, spot the landing” that’s all the thought process you neee and you will be golden

Your windup is completely in your arms and your lower body is rigid as a board, loosen up and use your legs. swing our arms still but you need to use your legs 90% more. Before you hit the jump you should widen your stance and use your legs to push yourself in that direction. Youll soon realize you can lace up a 540 on that smooth as hell.

To make it more stylish I would say carve into the 3. And then when you do that maybe throw some grabs like a safety.

Use ur upper body to spin don’t swing ur arms that much because it will throw u off axis

Lean forward, widen that stance, and bend those knees dude. Just practice is all it takes, there is no true secret

I'd say the opposite. Lead with your hips. If you spin with your upper body it looks like his spin, where his upper body is 90 degrees ahead of his skis.

it will be more prevalent once you start hitting bigger jumps. Arm hucks will not cut it but are easy on smaller rollers and such.

As mentioned above,

boom youve stomped it.

This guy who taught me how to three always told me to pop, then just kind of drop my left hand to my hip, then look over my left shoulder. Similar to what is known as the “T set” but we always called it an “L set”

idk it seems to work for me at that point in time. As I’ve progressed the left hand dropping down is nearly non existent.

For some yes but you can clearly see his lower body stay straight and his upper body is already at 90. By staying stacked he will be able to have more control in the air.

Pop good. When you are in air pull your knees up a little and above all keep your chest and body rigid. Don’t flop around as it throws you off even though it’s hard not to.

Look under your arm not over your shoulder, that should remedy the backseat / cork you are almost getting

Off axis spin = more forward shin pressure when you take off the jump

Your arms were definitely getting in the way. Throw your weight with your shoulders, not hands

Noooooo do not use your shoulders the spin is created through the hips. keep your upper body quite and maintain a stacked position.

Put a little more pressure on your shins during takeoff and spin initiation. That should help.

Ski towards the jump with your hands and shoulders forward and you shins on the front of the boot. Make sure you get a solid pop off the lip. Doesn't really look like you pop at all in this vid. As you pop initiate your spin with you head and shoulders/core. In the air keep looking over your shoulder for the landing. Don't look down. As you come in to land keep your hands out in front of you.
I would say your biggest problem is you don't pop and you're super upright/backseat on your approach.

All of this information is way too much. The only realy problem is that you ar perpendicular to the kicker, not the landing/ground. You can see in the screenshots that your whole body is leaning “back” or towards the jump. I had the same problem, and I fixed it quick when I knew what to do. Try a 180 but instead of looking at the ground keep your head completely still and look at the horizon behind the kicker. It will feel weird and you wont see where youre going when you land, but it will get you used to what you have to do. If you keep your head perfectly still looking parallel to the ground, not at the ground, you will not go off axis like you are. You will spin wherever you look, so keep your head still and straight, good luck

I prefer to think of using your whole body for the rotation.

If you let your arms flop around they will just get in the way. Put your shoulders in the right spot and your hands will be in the right spot. You could also think of it like this: don't leave your trailing hand so far behind

This was the first thing I notices as well.

OP- Do a bunch of practice 360s in your bedroom and focus on keeping your eyes up and your core (abs) tight. You want you whole body to rotate together instead of your upper body rotating with your lower following.

Try to not lean back as much at the takeoff. Also make sure to bring your legs up closer to your chest (grab safety if you want).
