PVC tube vs. normal rail

I've already hitted pvc tube and im moving onto rails. I just wanna know if theres any significant difference between because I dont want to wreck my balls on first try. Thanks

you'll notice a small amount of difference in how they slide and how much you can grab the sides of the rail with your edges (for both better and worse)

if it's a smooth rail, especially a round bar, it won't be much of a difference at all. do note that different park rails will slide differently based on their shape and how smooth the metal itself is

but you shouldn't have any issue making this transition at all

of course man. just choose a low simple rail to start with and after that you'll know the differences to continue on with. i'd say generally you can expect the average park rail to be a tiny bit less smooth than a PVC rail, nothing crazy

Flat bar would probably be easiest. PVCS are round so probably just stick with that. The wider they are the easier they are to grip

I've found they slide a little faster but it's sort of a weird feeling going back to one. I hooked into a pvc rail once and got leveled, kind of a littled scurred of them now.

Pretty similar stuff, as mentioned start with a lower feature. A lot of mountains have some features that are low and short enough that they might bore even the newest park rider which is good. Hit some small shit and work your way up. If your mountain doesn't have a rail that's impossible/nearly to rack your nuts on, they kinda suck or you're like 2 feet tall.

try a short pipe thats low to the ground and set how you would on to a pvc
dont be scared cause that is the easiest way to fall cause ur scared that its metal

Honestly, I never thought about PVC being easier or different than a normal rail, their basically the same thing except that the normal rail may be a little more slippery then PVC but other than that their typically the same thing. You shouldn't have thought about it like that. A PVC and a normal rail are the same things, please get the thought of a normal rail being harder out of your head, because it's not, and if you do think that, it will just mess you up even more. Just do the same thing you do on a PVC but on a normal rail. Good luck!
