skidemon22A few things... One def get the 18/19 Prodigy 1.0 if you want to buy now. We moved that ski over to an Austrian factory for the 1819 season and we've been very impressed with the quality assurance and durability. for $499 MAP, we genuinely feel like the value is one of the best on the market. The new 1.0 is our main market, directional twin-tip with an 80/20 split on park/all mtn.
I would not recommend an older 1.0 model, as those are cap construction. If you want something a little more all mountain focused than the 1.0, which I don't think you will, the 1920 Prodigy 2.0 is getting moved to the same factory as the new 1.0, and will get a similar design treatment as the 1.0 got. It will be stiffer than the out-going model (which is pretty soft) and get a 98mm waist. It's a whole new ski that we are really excited about!
Feel free to ask anything about Faction that you'd like :)
Roso12I have skied both pairs. I got both the prodigy 1.0s and the ARV 96 at the beginning of March of 2018. They are both amazing skis both forgiving and fun to ski. They both have their flaws though. For the Factions I never had good luck with them, I went through 2 pairs of the Candid 1.0 and 2 pairs of the Prodigy 1.0. They do have a fantastic warranty but, it sucks to have to get your ski remounted every 2 months because they broke. For the ARV's they have been very durable. The only thing I personally don't like is how soft the tip is. When you're cooking you can hear it just bobbing all around. I would personally recommend the ARV's over the Prodigy's.
skidemon22What prodigy 1.0 did you have? The 1819 or 1718?

KwaasyJust for my curiosity, how advanced of a skier are you/what type of skiing do you do primarily? I am on my first full year of skiing so I’m not really throwing down too hard yet and I would say I’m more geared towards jumps than rails at this point.
