Alright so I’m not a park skier, but I hit up the larger kickers in the park a few times a week to practice my balance in the air for the side/backcountry features. I usually do a safety grab or some other simple shit and straight-air it. Anyways, I was just curious on what the ‘sweet spot’ for landing is. When I land in the middle of the landing area I slap the ground super hard and it almost feels like an over-shoot, but when I land near the nuckle it is a weightless great-feeling landing. However, when I land near the nuckle it feels like I’m wimping out.
So what is the sweet-spot? Or do I just need to absorb the landing more efficiently?
