So I just moved into a new apartment. Pretty big ex soviet style, I can take some pics if needed. Basically I'm looking for tips on how to make it more homely and /comfy/
I’d say get some faded Christmas lights to put around the apartment, some posters of your favorite bands or artists. Modern furniture could make it more lively.

unfortunately decorations and furniture is really expensive/unavailable where i am :(
The cheap options make you look like a college kid. Posters, tapestries, Christmas lights. Its cheap, but it works. You need to spend a little money. Legit end tables with a lamp and coasters is pretty standard. Get some legitimate wall art too. Some framed pictures or maybe a painting.
I would highly recommend getting this printed out and framed
My favorite way to make an apartment feel more like home is to replace the shower head with a nice one. $15 at Home Depot for a better shower every day is a great Investment to me.

Indoor trees give a house a earthy vibe. also heavy aromic scents for full emersion. I also suggest a rack for your killed prey to hang them before you eat them.
coolflash8here is my own slice of heaven. Notice the awesome faded pond scene wallpaper, the glass cupboard for cups and shit is on the right out of frame
Very nice, but requires more slavness my friend.
make sure to add cup to spit semechki in, bottle of vodka in cupboard.
more russian carpet and kakadou!
other than that comrade, very nice. Appreciate the camo pants, add to the “I’m living in Chernobyl and have no money to buy adidas” vibe.

Hi satanworshipper! Please excuse me for what I am going to say, but your apartment looks like a door into the past. It looks like the pics of my grandma’s old place somewhere in Russia. If your budget is not very limited, I would recommend you to renovate this place. Maybe it’s retro, but some things need to be fixed like wires and pipes, otherwise, it might bring a lot of trouble and unexpected costs in the future. After everything is fixed may insure your retro-styled furniture and find the most suitable rates for you. I used money expert for my place.

Get some trippy tapestries, a laser light, string up some Christmas lights only to realize that they don’t work after jamming 50 shitty thumbtacks in the wall, put a $20 stained Walmart carpet in an illogical location, and a shitty coffee table with a bong, preferably colorful and plastic
Old skis can be turned into decorations pretty easily! Also, any photos that you’ve taken from trips and maybe some all black frames or mismatched frames.
