Is it easy to replace the grip walk wear layer on ski boots?

Im sick of putting on cat tracks every time and i was wondering if i could easily replace the wear layer on the toe and heel of my boots. Is it glued in there or do you just need to unscew the screws on the bottom?
Do you need to use locktite on the screw so you can get them solidly screwed in without stripping the plast screw holes? Are the screw holes even plastic or is there a metal plate?

I just mean boots with like a separate rubber tread attached to the toe and heel

What boots do you have?

Replaceable soles are specific to you boot. GripWalk soles might not be available yet for your model or your model might not even have replaceable soles (which is why you are using cat tracks in the first place?).

Nordica sport 110s.
The bottom of the toe and heel have different color than the rest of the boot.

Nordica, Dalbello and Marker are the three companies who helped developed GripWalk (Tecnica bought on shortly afterwards, I think). In short, yes, it's very easy to switch. All you need is an allen key and can do it in 5 minutes or less.

It looks like the layers
May be bonded together.
If i replace this will i have to rebind the bottom tread layer with epoxy or crazy glue?

Load a pic? I just swapped soles on my Salomon and it took 10 minutes, it's 8 screws for each boot. The biggest issue was that the replacement soles with tech inserts, these are WTR nor GripWalk, cost $90.

I'm assuming you mean SportMACHINE 110?

Normally yes, GripWalk soles are available for that model. BUT it depends also on your binding. You can only use GripWalk soles with a binding that either says GripWalk, MNC, or Sole I.D. on it. GripWalk soles will not work in normal alpine bindings.

Im gathering from you guys that grip walk soles are thicker than the replaceable rubber soles that only are about a quarter inch thick?

I can't see the image very well on my tiny screen (phone) but take a screwdriver/hex key/torx driver and unscewr the screws on the bottom of your boot. That part is replaceable on many boots, if there are no screws, you're screwed because worn soles will mean a fucked boot after a certain point.

That boot is compatible with gripwalk, you just need to make sure your bindings are too.
