HalfSenderEnderHey Guys, I recently purchased a pair of First Chair's and am having trouble deciding whether to increase the amount of forward lean. I am a very aggressive skier, and have no trouble staying in the front of my boots. However, my home hill isn't getting as much snow as usual and I have been riding park quite a bit instead of bombing down the steeps and dropping cliffs. I have been riding park up until now on a pair of Moment Underworlds, with Dynafit Beast 14 bindings, and Scarpa touring boots. Needless to say, not the right tools for the job, but it's what I had and I made it work surprisingly well. I acquired a pair of beat up park skis through wheeling and dealing, and would like to know if forward lean makes a marked difference while sliding rails, riding switch, landing in the flat, casing jumps, or just park activities in general. I understand that for big mountain riding its important to have a stiff, forward leaning boot; just not sure about lean when balance plays such an important role, like when sliding a rail. Thanks.
HalfSenderEnderYeah don’t have a problem staying forward in my boots, but skiing aggressive wasn’t really the question, more so does it (forward lean) affect balance of rails. But I skied them with the most amount of lean today and they felt fine; I noticed some people complain about their legs hurting in Full Tilts in general, but I’m 90 percent sure that’s because those people don’t lean forward and engage their ankle the right way, so their quads hurt.
