LukeTheWaffleStay centered, look at the end of the box or rail and come on as straight as possible
XxAc1DtR1PxXLean forward more
JT9DLower your center of gravity, best trick is to pinch the fabric of your snowpants where your knee is. Look at the end of the feature, feet wide apart, and leaning forward.

aidanaughtonI hate to be this guy, but completely depends on if you have full tilts, they help you look at the end of the rail and hold and edge as well as lean forward, i also find that in the begining, they helped me come on at a wider angle to the rail and caused me to fall off the far side if anything, but helped me get my balance, basically the common denominator has been full tilts
DirtYStylEMake sure that you are not just sliding onto the rail. You need to JUMP up and do the rotations. When you land you STOMP the rail and GRIP it. All your momentum should be going downhill. The momentum moving you sideways is the problem
KevskiWhat everyone else said about coming in wide and centred/low stance and looking at the end of the rail. If it's a straight on one with a good lip, might as well start with legs on each side of the rail.
Another important thing is to pop evenly and don't start spinning your skis until you've popped. Lots of people starting (including myself when I started) kinda stepped on, popping mostly off one ski. Throws your balance and momentum off. Once you get more comfortable and realize you'll have time to get the skis around after you pop and it'll be easier to do.
Another little trick on boxes, I remember when I was learning someone told me to think of grinding the back coping as a rail rather than picking some arbitrary point on the box. Like the coping on the side your tails are gonna be. You still slide the box but this helps keep you from crossing all the way over and coming off early. Mostly matters for street style boxes where you're coming on from the side.
bentasso34You have to lean back and squeeze your butt cheeks.
