ON3P Kartel 108

I am looking into picking up some Kartel 108s (Also scoped out the 4frnt MSP 107 and ARV 106). Looking for a 1 ski quiver that can charge but is also playful and can pop around.

1. Which of the three would you recommend? Anything else?
2. What length would you recommend (171, 176)? I'm 5.7 155 and have been riding some old 161 Line Anthem Octolands.

Whatever ski you decide definitely get 176. I've never ridden the Kartels but I've never heard anything bad about them only praise. The ARV series is dope af. Good ski. I ride the 116 version and can't speak more highly about them. It's a hard charger.

I'm 5'8 140lbs and my 181 Kartel 98s feel a little short, I would go for the 181s if you're a level 3 skier or better. The tip and tail rocker lines are pretty deep so the effective edge is pretty small compared to a full camber park ski

Arv JJs and JJs are not hard chargers. Super fun untracked pow skis but they are gonna get deflected like crazy in anything that isn’t perfect snow.

Correct. I was a bit drunk last night and just hyped on skiing. But in all seriousness, is not any ski a hard charger as long as you are charging hard?

Yeah the skier makes the ski but at 5’9” 185lbs I was folding my JJs in half skiing chop. Not much you can do with that besides get a burlier ski.

I haven't used the wider skis in the family but the ARV 96 doesn't charge. It's fun and jibby and can handle a lot of different conditions reasonably well but in firm shop or at high speed it has very little stability.

6"1', 165lbs, ski a 186 k108 as my all mountain charger and 184 arv96 as a park ski. I wouldn't describe the stock layup of the K108 as they 'playful' they're rockered but still quite still, you can butter them etc but if you want them to be truly 'playful' but they're very poppy if you want them to be you could get them softened up in the custom bit of the on3p site. That being said i have no issues with my kartel 108s and love how hard they charge everything.
only skied my arvs in domes and dry slope so far but they're softer, and quite playful and i imagine the 106 to be similar. but i reckon they'll be a hoot to get up to top speed.
from what i know arv106s will be more jibby/playful but k108s charge harder, you could soften em up tho
