Anybody give these a go? They seem pretty expensive, especially considering that the compression will wear over time. How about the 3/4 length pants? Do you feel like they helped you in any way?

Yeah, I think compression socks are pretty rad, but they're really expensive. I used Dissent and CEP socks for all of last season and none of them are losing their compression. They provide the best fit I've ever experienced, and the Dissent Nano Tour is fantastic for touring or really tight boots. I also feel like I get a little less calf fatigue in Dissent socks vs. regular ski socks.
All that said, I'd have a difficult time justifying them if I was actually paying for them. If you don't need the most precise fit, I'd check out FITS and Smartwool.

Yes get compression socks. The smartwool compression ski socks I have are awesome. They stay in place better IDK about the whole compression thing but they are basically just like the smartwool ski socks I love but they stay in place better enough to be worth it IMO.
Compression pants makes no sense though. I don't know how that would help. I got some 3/4 length base layers called shants that are loose and baggy and those are good.
