Hi there, new to the forum and was hoping to get some advice on equipment.
I live in the east coast and have very little experience on skis. I've been down a few blues before but I've mostly been snowboarding for the last 20ish years.
I'd like to find some beginner skis for messing around on that will let me ride park, groomed, and some powder. I don't get much powder out this way but I may be planning trips to Colorado and Vermont soon.
I'm 34 160lbs 6'0' tall.
I don't have a budget currently, I'm just trying to find out what the cost would look like for a budget setup. I guess my budget would be as inexpensive as possible without the gear being really poor quality. Maybe used?
So to summarize id like a twin tip park ski that i can ride around the mountain thats budget and beginner friendly. Any input would be helpful, thank you!

Beginner needs help with finding the right gear
Look online for a reputable shop in your area. If your looking to go more park skis should be up to your nose. If your going for powder and speed then they should be t you eye brows
i know you said you don't currently have a budget, but can you tell me what kinda range youre thinking?
Buy your boots first, spend the most money there. I can not stress how important this is! go to a boot fitter and try on boots he thinks will work. Do not focus on a single brand either. You can pick skis and bindings by yourself and im sure a lot of people on here will be able to steer you in the right direction with those.
However, working with a boot fitter is the only good way to get the right boot. DO NOT take any advice from people on this website on boots and what boot brands are best. The best boot is the one that fits your foot, each boot in its respective category is gonna look the same on paper but the subtle differences in geometry are near impossible to detect if you havent been skiing for a while. Each company makes a boot that will "work" for you but if you can find the one thats perfect for you, skiing is gonna be a lot more fun.

As said above go to a boot fitter and buy boots first. It will make it way easier to learn to ski if you’re comfortable and aren’t moving around in your boots. You can just demo skis and figure out what you like.

everything this dude said is 100% correct. boots are far and away the most important part of your setup for the reasons listed
if youre not very into skiing, like it's just gonna be a sometimes thing that isn't a big concern of yours, don't stress over it, just get some decent boots that fit you for a decent price. but if you are going to be taking the sport seriously at all, the lion's share of your budget should go to boots. park skis are plentiful and can be found for a pretty good price almost always
