As good as a hot burg or chicken strips can be, I usually just feel ripped off and like I wasted a bunch of ski time when I could have had a tailgate or eaten a pocket sandwich on the chairlift

Shiiit 5 downvotes lol didn’t know the lodge was so controversial. We get free vouchers with lift tickets so food rarely costs anything.

i hear you. lodge food is a ripoff (typically speaking) but sometimes it's amazing to splurge and have a hot meal and some draft beers

First run of the day
30 minute wait in line
lift stops 10 times due to falling beginners
finally get off the lift after 20 minutes of 200m elevation gain
arrive at the park
have to navigate through 2000 cubic foot of juul vapor
get cutoff by a dad and his kid on the first rail
catch an edge on the second rail (must have been the ice rain)
cant hit the next feature cause someone cased the jump
roll up to 30 people all at the drop in
wait another 10 minutes before dropping
bomb hole landing
the lip of the rail after has been 404'd from the earth by jerrys
get to the bottom chairlift
asian kid with jeans and lv jacket collide into me at f1 jet sound barrier breaking speeds
breaks my neck on impact
patroller writes down "equal fault from both parties" on the slip
leave the hospital with a $2000 bill

god i fucking love east coast metropolitan skiing

Closing your locker, putting your gloves, helmet, and Goggs on, and walking outside.

going super super fast
riding the rope, then realizing the park is packed and hype
finally getting the trick on the last run of the day

looking out and seeing way out to the middle of the state with all the windmills in the distance in the park, and sitting on the chair and turning around, and seeing the whole skyline of downtown Pittsburgh.

When the snow sticks to every little tree branch
sunsets
skiing real slow through a mellow woods trail on a nice day
Finding new trails in the woods
taking a moment to enjoy any view that’s in front of you
filming a solid iPhone line for a homie
50/50ing tubes

that little sound effect you hear in your earbuds when you play your music as you get off the chair

Taking your music out, especially on a crowded day in the park, and just listening to the tons of railslides followed by the immediate snow thuds.

Taking a well needed piss on the side of a trail.
Leaving the resort, but you know you’re skiing the next day too.
That thing when you forget what day or time it is
going on trails you shouldn’t, and then almost getting your pass clipped as you see a ski patroller as you pop out of the trees

doing any kind of trick and once you land it you think “damn that one felt good”
