Rum_HamHave you been doing pt?
3maniaDo you care how it looks? if so have the surgery, if you don't care about a bone sticking out of the top of your shoulder don't worry ,it'll heal up to a useable degree. Both mine have been completely separated in the past ,one looks OK, but the other one looks like a coat rack. They both work fine..
D_DressDislocated my shoulder pretty bad about 2 years ago, decided not to get surgery cause I heard sometimes it makes it feel worse. And since then I’ve prolly popped it outa place about 2 other times(still super painful lol). Honestly it’s completely up to you. I got into the gym and lifting around the same time and occasionally have problems when I’m lifting but if you don’t plan on doing that you should be fine hope this helped!
Rum_HamI had a nasty dislocation last winter, I did a bunch of PT and still do some of the exercises with my normal workouts in the gym. No major issues with just avoiding exercises that bother it.
CoaxArcCan you do pushups without discomfort?
Rum_HamYes all push-up variants. I have issues when trying to back squat due to ROM limitations, overhead/shoulder pressing, and barbell benching when trying to push 25% above body weight or more and touch my chest
CoaxArcDamn, ya beast.
Wait, you're talking about a dislocation, though? Not a separation?
