So i recently bought the majesty thrashers and now need a binding and wanted to buy me some full tilt boots. Only problem is, that i dont know much about physical aspects and pros or cons of the different bindings. At first i wanted to go for the marker jesters, but i read a lot about how the marker bindings aint that good. I am just a beginner at freestyle skiing, but want to buy high quality gear with which i can calmly go in the park or go powder a bit. So i wanted to ask what kind of binding I should go for.
my skis have a waist width of 82 and the internet says my din is an 8

Need help choosing bindings and boots

I agree wholeheartedly on the first link. Some of the info in the second is great but that thread is dated.
Recent collective NS think on bindings goes: got money get pivots, got no money get attacks (in an appropriate DIN range of course.)
Sure STHs are fine, markers are ok, specialty bindings are more purpose specific but when talking about park/all mountain resort skiing pivots and attacks are always good.
Start with boots, you’ll probably blow most of your money on that first. Be prepared for custom footbeds. And go to a good boot fitter, If you have any local race friends ask them where the racers go because they are usually very particular with who they let do boot work, while a lot of park skiers don’t do bootwork at all and just buy boots that are too big.
Binding wise, almost anything in the 12-14 din range should be fine for you. Pivot 12/14, sth 14, aatack 13, they’ll all hold you in just buy the one of those three you can find the cheapest.
