The title says it all. What is the recommended minimum jump size to learn to do a 360 mute on. (10, 25, 35 etc)

Minimum jump size to learn 360 mute

The title says it all. What is the recommended minimum jump size to learn to do a 360 mute on. (10, 25, 35 etc)
If you're gonna grab, height and distance is important. A poppy 20" would be just as well as a less poppy 30+.
Although I will say I have always had an easier time learning tricks on features with less lip. I would recomend trying some different sizes and seeing which ones allow you to do a floater 3 with a little extra time.
Your rotation will most likely be slower when you try it for the first time.
Slushy quarter pipe or a poppy side hit
A side hit that makes it easy to spin your natural direction is good. Other than that, probably around a 15-20' jump with a lippy take off. The more vertical the takeoff, the more time it will feel comfortable to grab.
I did it on a 8 foot table top
Any particular reason for mute grab? If its your first grab with 3 then i recommend screaming seamen

Do it on the biggest jump you're comfortable 3'ing. I don't think a side hit is the way to go unless its a really big one. And I find grabbing spins to be easier off poppy jumps because they kind of shoot your knees up towards your torso for you

This. Do a bunch of 3's till they're consistent. Also, keep your chest as vertical, and shins in the front of your boots, and remember to pop. Also don't start reaching for the grab til at least 90º or it will look bad and fuck up your balance.
is this your first 3, or your first 3 mute? if you haven't done a big solid 3 before id start with that, no grab or safety, and then add the mute

first 3s are something you really shouldn't learn on a tiny jump, it will produce bad habits that are hard to get out of

Wow... didn't expect this thread to get so many answers. The reason I asked is because my end goal this season is a good 360 mute. My park's biggest jump is 35ft. I assume that's plenty?

Yea man, I learned them on a tiny 10 foot tabletop
tiny table - 8 feet or so.
You can bust out a mute 3 on a 5' side-hit. I wouldn't worry about it.
Side hits are a great place to start getting the feel for throwing 3's, as you feel more and more comfortable with this you should build it up. Once you feel you have enough airtime during the spin, start with a safety grab and work your way towards a mute. Get it man!
