There's a whole sub-genre called metalcore. Check out This Day Forward, Bloodlet, Converge to get started.

There are quite a bit of good hardcore bands from Japan! Try Gauze and L.S.D. :) I know there are a lot of other ones but I’m pretty new to hardcore
