Moment Skis Discussion Thread

I'm filling out my quiver with Moment skis, and as a small skier, I really want the Moment Ghost Trains in 168 as my dream dedicated pow ski for super deep days and possibly Japan next year if everything works out. I'm looking widely, and I'm prepared to look a long time, cause I know these were only made in my size of 168cm for a few years and were discontinued, possibly to never be made in that length again. If anyone has any leads on where I can find one of this length--and I don't care if its beat up and looks like crap as long as I can patch it up and ski it--I would really appreciate it!

And if anyone finds one buried in the closet that they'd be willing to sell, I'm very interested to buy. This also goes to the guys at Moment, if you still somehow have this tiny (relatively speaking) Ghost Train stashed away somewhere that you'd be willing to sell.

Your right, they are super helpful so that was the first thing I tried. When I called they just said they weren’t going to make it in my size again, which is understandable, I’m sure it didn’t sell many pieces. I also reached out to Moment Japan to see if they had any leads and they weren’t aware that the Ghost Train had ever been made in my size.

I'm sure it's been somewhat mentioned in this thread, but how does the Wildcat Tour 108 compare to the Wildcat 108? Do the touring models have that floppy/chatter feel like the bents do?

Wildcat tour is stiffer than the bents.

I have two pairs of the 2013. One unmounted. Not sure if the 2016 you're looking for was still full rocker or not, but the ones I have are. Looooove that ski in deep powder, but it absolutely SUCKS on anything less than 4-5". Because of how bad they are on hardpack/lower pow days, i use them like once a year or less here in CO. I bought the second pair from Ski Burger (RIP) knowing they'd likely never make the size again. Since I've had them since 2018 and probably only put 6 days on them, I'd *maybe* consider selling my unmounted one, but I love the ski and it would take some convincing to let them go

The 124 and 118 were serious skis when they had them. I couldn’t imagine those in a 204 length lol. A 118 in 204 with a -11 mount.

It would be insane and awesome. I've always wanted to try a 204 or old 225 downhill ski for my own ego's sake but apart from the old Candide 3.0s that came in a 204 I haven't seen any newer skis that were that long.

I do like making Meridians...unfortunately we don't plan production out that far.

I'd say there's a decent chance we make more this coming season but it's never a guarantee.

Copy that - full rocker is the only Moment shape I haven't tried and I think it's about time

Meridian is my personal favorite ski in the history of the brand.

I don't recommend it as a single ski quiver / daily driver, but if you have some or most of the bases covered it's a great niche ski quiver addition.
