2004: This piece of shit was released creating a torrential wave of filling the entire vimeo and youtube space with garbage edits from skiers and snowboarders. Over 5 million hours of on-piste side slipping has been documented since its release.
If anyone makes it to Oslo they have a cool skiing museum. Unfortunately I didn't see the whole thing because it was apparently closed and I allegedly snuck in but they can't prove shit. Will go back to finish the other 1/3 of the place I didnt see.
Also ski history reminds me of the xgames snowblade years. That shit was fire. I'm gonna have to dig up some gems on youtube.

One minor thing I noticed at a glance: level 1's 2002 movie was called Strike 3

Except he first hit the gap at 16 (did a three), and did the d-spin at 17.

Can't find anything on it now, but I remember read back at the time that he had done a 360 over it. It may be that he did the 360 in the same session as the d-spin though and only did a straight air the year before.
Mad respect for Jensen for putting that together. I think its important to bring up around 2004 what kind of rivalry there was between Simon Dumont and Tanner Hall in the halfpipe. It was really the freeskiing arms race of the time and both have that intensity and drive to win and just kept pushing the limits. That and the impact that Idea had on the culture of skiing. There was a shift from the more "In your face Extreme' attitude to a more soulful and artistic approach to filming.

PK hunder got screwed by the crowd. Superman dub fronts are cool but rhat trick shouldn't have even come close to winning. I'm glad they moved away from the crowd voting. That was the dumbest shit ever.
