How Long Does One Have To Be At Low Elevation To Get Drunk For Cheap Up High?

How long do you have to stay at low elevation to catch that elevation sickness buzz off half a smirnoff and a shot of fireball?

It doesn’t work like that. It’s just way easier to blackout and then you spend the entire next day vomiting.

I heard this works really well. You basically just have to run at the same speed as the highspeed quad up the entire mountain. Chug one beer. Boom! Wasted.

Currently at 8k feet but I've done wuite a bit of high altitude liver training. I might go for a hike to get a a bit higher, maybe smoke a blunt and get even higher. Highest mtns here are 14 and change. Im limited to that. Would something in the himalayas be morehelpful?

I tend to liken your friends' consumption of smirnoff and fireball to running a race. And this article states that you need about three weeks to acclimate for race-running condition. Conclusion: it's not worth it. Spend the extra cash for a full Smirnoff and two shots of fireball and stay in the mountains.

In Bolivia my tolerance was pretty low. At first we'd split a 32oz bottle of beer and sometimes call it good at that. I'd been at close to sea level for a couple months before flying straight to El Alto.

That seems logical. A whole smurnoff and two shots seems pretty scary, but Ill send it.

I actually gotta be careful because in addition to some low altitude time I came out of the desert pretty dehydrated. Stocking up on water before we tap into the jamo bottle i brought to my friends house.

It would be pretty funny if people trained for drinking at high altitude bars the way athletes train.

If we are talking science we should include oxygen too. The human body needs oxygen to breakdown alchohol. When your body is starved on oxygen (post excercise) the booze will hit you like a train. Field test: my friend likes to bike instead of ski. After a ski day we meet up at camp. He comes charging in on his bike and slams a 40. He soon thought the neighbors tent was ours and tried to sleep with some strangers.

True. Better safe than sorry. I think bishop knows all to well the joys of boozing at altitude.
