FoliumEyesAerospace grade 5 titanium alloy, the highest strength to weight ratio of any metal and makes up the skeleton of the structure. It's incredibly lightweight, strong and durable! It's much lighter, stronger and easier to operate than any pistol grip gimbal on the market.
keyword is metal. Carbon fiber would be a better material choice, otherwise Freefly wouldn't use it for their MōVis. I see on the kickstarter it says its a carbon fiber "skin" wrapped around the titanium, curious why it wouldn't be fully carbon.
Also the half ring looks incredibly frustrating to use, because you basically have to hold it on its sides at all time if you want to mount a monitor or anything up top, but the kickstarter also shows it being held underneath the top which would eliminate the possibility of mounting anything. Using a gimbal without an external monitor is simply a shitty experience
this looks like more of a toy than a professional tool tbh, for cameras this size the mōvi m5 + ring has many of the same comfort benefits but has way more mounting/expansion possibilities for actual serious use
