New poster alert.
Quick backstory: grew up skiing tiny hills around Winnipeg where I live. Moved to Lake Louise and worked at the hill for a season and really caught the bug there. Moved back to Winnipeg and years later I've finally convinced my friends to go on ski trips semi-regularly. Ability-wise I'd say I'm intermediate. Comfortable on almost any part of the mountain, but I can't make it out frequently enough to be trying anything too crazy. (If you're more curious for some reason, you can check out my latest trip to Lutsen MN https://www.newschoolers.com/videos/watch/899934/Lutsen-Ski-Trip-2018)
My dilemma: I never really got into park skiing, but it's all there is to do around my neck of the woods so I may as well bite the bullet and get better. I'm currently riding a pair of 2006 Line Chronics 177cm, 80 underfoot. They feel very stiff, and I'd like something more flexible to dial in some buttering and such. The local ski shop only had a couple options for my size (6'0", 175 lbs):
Volkl Transfer 85s and
K2 Domains
So would either of these be worth the upgrade? Or should I try and order something like the Line Blend, or Faction CT 2.0? Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Budget is not much of a concern because I think I deserve an upgrade.
It should be mentioned that I have a pair of Line Sick Days (102mm) for when I make it out to a big mountain, so I'm more looking for a park/butter exclusive ski to have some fun on the ditches they call hills in the prairies.
