Topsheet damage

I’m going out to Colorado in a few days and I’m a little concerned about the top sheet damage on my skis. I’m sure most of it is cosmetic, and I cut off some of the damage, but since I’m a new skier, I can’t quite tell whether or not some of the bigger gashes are reaching the core or not. Advice for treatment would be great!

Topsheet damage doesn't effect your skis at all, it just makes your skis look more banged up. You should really only worry about gashes on the bottom of your skis since thats whats actually on the snow. You just gotta deal with the topsheet damage, ski shops don't repair the topsheet only bottom.

That’s not damage. That’s normal wear and tear from skiing. The cheaper the ski the faster it happens.
If it frays or chips more consider superglueing around it or epoxy or hot glue.

Even expensive skis do that it just depends on the type of ski and that ski's durability rating
