Best inbounds terrain in WA?

Alright hear me out... Ive been skiing Washington my whole life here is my run down..

Crystal has some legit in-bounds. some of it is considered side country, where it is vague wether you are in or out of bounds. They have one area called Southback, where you have to hike out a little bit but is still kinda patrolled. There you can hit some legendary pacific northwest lines like "brain damage" and "pinball" up on their highest peak called the king. If you traverse further over you get a massive bowl and on a good day you can get some excellent wide open powder turns. Crystal also put a chair on the other side that heads into the North back, which makes it less back country amd more skiied out, but easier to access. And then there are hidden stashes everywhere, that are often used for freeride events. "Bear Pits", "Powder Bowl" and "Elk Chutes" to name a few..

Alpental has some insane backcountry... "Nash gate" etc
.but you should Definitley go with someone who knows where they are going or you will probably get cliffed out and have to hike around a death cliff. Inbounds is pretty solid. A smaller mountain with only 1 lift worth skiing (chair 2) some hidden gems like breakover, snake dance and powder bowl are all A+ terrain very steep tight, FUN. If you go to snoqualmie pass don't bother with summit central, or weat or hyak. I reccomend go 5 minutes over to alpental and have a blast.

Mt Baker is similar with the back country, where you dont want to go back there unless you know people. Baker gets the storms that mount rainier used to get... Basically they get godly amounts of snow and because of it they are pretty strict about avalanches. So beacons, probes etc are kinda required to back there too.

Mission Ridge, kinda far out for you maybe.. Wenatchee... has got some sweet terrain. I especcially like their "Bomber Chutes" but they have quite a bit of terrain worth skiing.

49 degrees north... In Chewelah, just outside Spokane. Good terrain especcially in the trees, really slow chairlifts. A lot of jerry's there because most of the good skiiers got to Schweitzer cause its the same distance and has faster chairs... But that means less lift lines more tree lines! My favorite runs would be "Satan's Cemetary" or "Powder Keg"

White Pass in Naches is always a good time. Not very technical terrain but it certainly holds its own. you can definitley find some great turns. And the vibe there is really excellent. Also when it dumps they get lots of fresh snow.

Bluewood down near the tiny town of Dayton in eastern Washington is nothing to write home about. But there is some really fun gladed trees. They also do a college weekend for like 10 bucks a ticket which is worth.

I got kicked out of Stevens Pass for hiking the lifts and teaching myself how to ski years ago... And I havent been back since.

I have a season pass at the summit and go to Alpental every weekend, and have ski crystal and stevens a couple times a year. Imo Crystal has the best inbound. There is just so much terrain and good variety for whatever you want. Alpental's inbound has good steep and and drops but the snow usually isn't as good as crystal because its snocompton and it rains after every good storm.

Crystal is where it's at. I have some friends who go to WWU and they hate baker, they say the mountain is small and it rains a lot plus Udub is wayyyy better.

Why not focus on lift lines and parking - thats the main reason I cant force myself to buy a pass at Stevens.

If you're going to call it what it is by how the majority of your time is spent there, you dont go to Stevens to ski - you got to Stevens to wait.

I'd probably say it's a wash between crystal and baker. The pass is fucked, climate change is real it can't stay below 35 degrees this winter for long enough to actually go ski the snow they get. The terrain is there you pretty much just have to live there to get it in between rain cycles and weekend hoards

This AF, I have a pass to Alpy. Super easy access from Seattle/Tacoma and really good night skiing, (had one of the deepest days of my life at night on the lower quad at alpy) plenty of cool off-piste riding to do at night and super well lit. Tons of fun drops if the base is good too. Makes the mountain super convenient if u got a busy schedule.

Alpy, it's not like alpys the only one not getting snow, everyone's getting rained out. Also, alpy is just the best, steep and cliffs up top, playful hits at the bottom.
