Do I even like park skiing anymore?
I dont know, Ive been in the park for about 2.5 years, I dont really do anything Impressive, I just go out and do 1s and 3s off jumps and hit a few rails and I liked that a lot. But recently something inside me has changed I guess and Ive just been craving the steep runs and just carving around and kinda staying out of the park besides a couple jumps. Im just at an identity crisis I guess, should I try to do new stuff in the park and progress some more? Go with the new flow? Join an Alpine team? toss me some advice
Learn new shit, give yourself something to work on
Keep pushing your skiing. It can help to have something to work on instead of doing the same things over and over again. But at the end of the day, if you aren't having fun, you aren't having fun.
alpine team sounds super dope. Get some race skis and ski fast or something
Your inner dad is coming out. Don't fight it.
Maybe try to take a day to ski regular runs if that's what you want, or just get hooked on landing one new trick and hike the rail til you get it, then try another trick. If you have more fun carving and hauling ass, stick to it don't force yourself to ski park if you'd rather not.
i don't ski much in the park anymore. i get maybe 15 days a year; 6 of those this year will be in Montana. most of the other days are spent skiing with my family. i am finding it really fun to try and perfect my technique and get more comfortable with going as fast and as steep as humanly possible. it's really fun to just mob down a trail and arch some really nice turns. hop off natty features and do some shiftys and 3s.
If you don't want to ski park, DON'T SKI PARK. If you want to send it down groomers at mach 12, then just DO it
I feel the same way half of the time. I've always been a park rat, and I basically learned how to ski in the park. I used to pizza off of rails because I learned how to do park before I learned how to parallel stop. Now, I've just lost the motivation to throw stuff and try and learn new things. These days, the only thing that really makes me enjoy park skiing is when I'm doing it with all of my friends. What's important to know is that skiing alone can be fun, but being with friends is what park skiing is all about at the end of the day. My advice is to find some friends to throw down with, even if they're way better or way worse than you. Its always to teach or get taught.
Yup, learn how to turn. Try to explore a new aspect of skiing that pulls your attention. With skills aquired in a new aspect, you can use that experience to apply in the park. You can do vice versa too. Remember there is now wrong way to have fun on skis.

i love to just carve around. i usually just ski park at my local on weekdays. The weekends are for pow days and carving around.
Nothing wrong with that. Hit the backcountry and send it!
Park skiing is always good to have in your back pocket in case you're at a small shitty mountain

It's all about the homies. Find friends, and have fun with them. You'll find yourself progressing naturally.

Dude, just get high in the parking lot and go where your heart leads you. Then, you'll know.
To be fair, it really sounds like you’re just getting started based on your trick catalog, I would set some goals if I were you and give it a couple more days worth, if you’re not feeling it, just do what makes you happy, just make sure you’re not leaving park too early in your life because doing rails and jumps isn’t something people tend to do later on in their ski life

What was new and exciting has become old and boring. You need to push yourself in the park
