I need some advice and I’ve seen serval professional boot fitters on here. Let me
Start with i wear a 13.5-14 shoe.. fit into a 29.5 first year Fischer vacuum 130. I have wide. Flat feet. Very large calf’s. 6’3 250. Screws in my right ankle... pretty much a boot fitters nightmare. The vaccumes are by far the best boot I’ve ever had but they still KILL the outsides of both feet from the phalanges-metatarsal joint back to the mid foot. My daily orthotics have metatarsal pads but I haven’t found anyone to create a ski boot footbed with these pads.. do you think the pain is come from needing more room or the lack of metatarsal pads in the foot bed? The shells have been molded 3 times so far( original, broken ankle, back to new normal) so I’m not sure how many more times the shells will stand up to being molded.
Would you blow the sides out more with new liners(current ones have been cut for more room)
Or start over with a new boot? If so what would you recommend? My right ankle is still a good bit bigger than the left from the screws so I’ll forever be a full custom boot fit.
Thank you
