STH Adjustments

Hi everyone,

I have 2 pairs of STHs mounted. Both were done by the most reliable shop in my area, but over time the bindings have started to get a bit jiggly. In one pair, they are loose in the toe when i swing the ski side to side. This would be toe wing adjustment, correct?

In the other pair, they are loose in the toe when I swing the ski up and down. This would be a forward pressure adjustment, correct?

INB4 go to a shop, but the shop in my area charges out the ass for this kind of stuff. Thanks for the help everyone!

If the boot moves up and down in the toepiece while clicked in you'd be looking at a toe height adjustment, no?. What I've hard is to set forward pressure first, then adjust toe height. There's an AFD tool or the business card method for doing toe height.

What do you mean "they are loose"? The binding toes pieces themselves are loose/jiggly, or the boot is loose/jiggly in the toe piece?

The boot is loose in the toe piece. In one pair of bindings, theyre loose up and down. In the other pair, theyre loose side to side.

Your boots may have worn down over time so they are loose now. Just a guess

Although tbe boots are old and do have wear, the bindings were mounted recently and the shop would not have mounted them if they were worn down to an unsafe extent.

Up/down play is normally toe height adjustment

Side to side play is normally toe wing adjustment

Forward pressure should be double checked in either scenario.
