The world is a pretty scary place at the moment as hate and death continue to flood our news, eyes, and ears every second of every day. We are raising awareness for LOVE by fundraising for authentic and empowering charities. We are emphasizing the fact that we are all HUMANS and underneath our skin, we are all the same.
Join Nick Lawson as he runs solo from the Southernmost tip to the northernmost tip of Africa, journeying up the East coast and through 23 countries. He will make the journey the whole way alone, but he will never be alone because the whole world will be joining him in some way. Humans from every country on this planet will join him.

lol the guy is running with another guy that operates a "free volunteering program in thailand" (the name of the website also starts with free). when i went to check the guys page, guess what? it is not free! it is like 90 USD a week, plus an additional $650 fee. man, there are some shady ass ppl out there doing these volunteer scams.

i have no problem with paying for the accommodation and food at whatever place i am volunteering at, but most of the big volunteer organizations have all these "admin fees" and "application fees", and a lot of the work is just complete bullshit. i volunteered a few years back with one of the big volunteer organizations out there, and most of the girls that i was volunteering with just wanted to take pictures with little black kids and instagram and snapchat pics with them the whole time. it was kind of wack if you ask me. almost kind of what Nick is doing tbh, just running around wanting to take pics with poor black ppl..

A lot of the companies people "volunteer" with these days are like 800+ a week.

Idk. Imo either volunteer or take a vacation. The volunteering programs aren't a sick vacation from the looks, and people aren't bringing anything to the table so aren't really volunteering.

People can spend money on whatever but it just seems scammy.

Yeah I agree. I got an email from work peeps to go volunteer in South America, and I was like sure how much (for flight and hotel and transport)? $3k they say... LOL. It doesn't cost that much no thanks.

i am in a way you got to take the good with the bad, and just break bread. like i can have respect for what he is doing, but with that same breath you know the guy has done very shady type of stuff, and has mislead many ppl
