Just remounting the back 1/2 of the binding to fit larger boots, right thing to do ????

bought a couple sets of old skis and need to know if just remounting the back 1/2 of the binding and keeping to toe mount where it is so I can fit my larger boots is the way to go.........................??

Doesn't sound like you have much of a choice....better than a full remount

Totally do able. Factors that come into play are the ski. And actual change in boot size.

Work out if it’s more logical to move just the front or just the back. Or if your boot center would be far to off you are better doing a full remount.

What he said. i would just make sure you keep the boot sole mark close to the recommended. If it puts you too far back and its a twin that isnt already center mounted you could always move the toe instead.

no it is not correct and to use a jig to redrill you will need to remove the toe piece anyway. depending how much bigger your boot is you could be moved off the mounting line rec by manufacture. this may or may not matter depending how far off it is/ personally skiing preference.

Nothing was said about not removing. But it doesn’t mean you have to redrill for the front or back. You can re use holes no problem.

As stated, it depends if you want you midsole to move back on the ski. You could move the toe forward if you want to move your midsole forward.
