Anybody In Tahoe Need A Place To Live This Winter? (Or have a place with an open room)

So I have a 3BR in Incline pretty much locked down for 1900 plus utilities. Unfortunately I was going to rent with people from the FB groups, and people are flaky as hell.

I'm still trying to lock that down. But I'd be open to jumping in a room if anyone else has a place.

28 year old here. Working at Northstar full time grave shift. I get along with people well, I'm quiet, and I can clean up after myself.

We were looking at places over 3 weeks ago. Found and applied for this place 2 weeks ago. Then found out through the realtor, that this guy decided to pull out days ago. I'm impressed with how shitty some people are.


But I'm back on the hunt. I start work the 10th. I'm currently in NY but will be out by the 8th or 9th.

You've probably already seen it, but the Truckee Tahoe People Facebook group page seems to have openings pretty frequently. Good luck man, housing is fucking tough around here

Yeah. Also where I found the 2 flaky scumbags. Group is good butfacebook is such a horrible platform for classifieds. Anything you're looking at get's mixed with people who insist on trying to get $3.50 for random useless stuff.

That said I'll probably find somebody through their in the end. Still pissed at these other clowns though.

I posted another ad in there and updated my CL post. Hopefully I'll find a good spot. Sucks I wasted 3 weeks setting this up with these other people , just to get ghosted.

People suck man. Saw your post in rant and that blows. Housing out here definitely isn't good. I'm sure you'll find something though

Yeah. There are some decent places but they're all needing several people. Also those are dwindling now.

I'm glad I wasted the last 3 weeks with this gaper douche. That said, really hoping to pull of some magic and keep the place/get people on the lease with me, and have a kickass winter.

Worst case if it snows enough I'll steal some kids snow fort till spring.

Check out some places in Reno anyways. Half hour to Northstar depending on where you're at. Not as white kid dreadlocky as Incline but still a fun scene.

For sure. One of my friends is thinking of moving to reno. He's got a tow truck business(quit the ski industry a while back)

I don't mind anything scene wise just want to be closer. I did an hour + commute everyday to a mountain for 3 years. Now I'm lazy. Not that incline is crazy close but it's better. We'll see what happens.

I have some bights from other industry people, and the northstar housing coordinator saw my post in an FB group and has people that need homes. It should work out. Either way I'm stoked to do my first full season in CA, and will probably stick around for at least a few years.
