Looking for ski shop name ideas

What's up NS? We are starting a locally operated ski shop in a small town at a high elevation. We are going to do hardgoods/ softgoods, but want to specialize in guiding services and local guidebooks maps etc. looking to you awesome people for help with the name. Thanks in advance.

Thanks. It's in Alma. Trust me, this is well planned and I do have vision, I am just careful about sharing that vision with too many people. I guess that's why my description was vague. I appreciate the suggestions, that's all I'm looking for.

Be careful you don't spend too long deciding a name - talk it over with a few buddies and pick something. The hard part is grinding out the hours to make it a success!

Not to discourage you at all, but in my short time spent in Alma it seems like the town can barely support its mini-mart let alone a ski shop. Are you sure that location will attract enough business to be successful?

Just make sure you have word "ski" or "backcountry" some where in name. Puns and creative names are cool, but won't help you when customers google search you.

yeah my only suggestion would be to make the name something obvious and a bit explanatory. esp if guiding is a big part of the plan

Something with an A at the start will pop up in Yellowpages first/has searchable benefits. There are certainly strategies in business naming.

But on a serious note, if you have multiple owners you could use last names. There's an outfitter in MN called Williams and Hall. I've always liked that name combination.
