Mr.BishopThis is really a question of how much you're going to be going switch.
If you ride park all the time at a small east coast or Midwest resort - then as long as the ski is symmmetrical then dead center is the absolute best way to go. Bonus points for starting to ski 50% of your days backwards
If you're not all park, then some of the progressive mounts are a great mix. I think I have my J skis mounted 1.5 back from center.
the one thing I don't think you should do with park skis is mount them traditionally where they are way back.
