they have this "less is more business model" and try to bitch and complain when ppl resell their clothes? like wtf? a company doesnt want you reselling their shit after u bought it?
On the note of comparing a ski based company with a skate based one, I wait for the day when girls walk around repping NS hoodies not having any clue where it comes from like they do now with Thrasher.
.lenconYeah jiberish gets a lot of hate. People love shitting on things in this site.
I've gotten some nice thing from Jiberish. And their sales are sick. Yeah I might have to wait 3 weeks but who cares.
Yea jibberesh definitely makes some nice stuff sont think I'd ever pay full price for it and ive never had issues with shipping i always go the standard shiooing option and its here in 2-3 days. Although ive never preorderd something.

Jiberish just frustrates me so much, some times the shipping will be great and fast but I am still waiting on a shirt I ordered 3 weeks ago, haven't heard anything or gotten any confirmation

Yah waiting on 2 tees, a flannel, and hoodie for a while
Jiberish wishes they were like supreme. Supreme sells out almost instantly, and never has sales and are able to charge an insanely large amount of money because of their name. That said, if you've never made a decision to go for one product instead of another simply based on the the name, I'd have a hard time believing you.
All I can think of is the Supreme Brick every time someone mentions the company. A real thing that people bought with actual money that sold out in a manner of hours.

It's funny cause one of my friends dabbled In reselling and he sold one of things for like $50~ bucks plus shipping after buying one for $20. It blows my mind how much some kids are willing to pay for shit like that.

One thing that most people who hate on supreme (and jiberish somewhat) don't think about is that its basically something for people to collect. Especially with the supreme accessories, people are willing to buy them for ridiculous resale prices because thats one more piece they can add to their collection. Its just like a person that collects comic books. To the average person it seems crazy to pay $500 for a paper book that originally retailed for $2.99, but not for that guy who is always trying to grow his collection to make it more valuable..

Yeah I dab in resell a little too, crazy that I can sit at a computer for 10 min and sell something for 2x retail price to some rich kid that is too lazy to get them for themselves

Yeah but like sneakerheads they just collect expensive shit and don't even wear or use it. They just wanna be able to say they have it, went to school with plenty of them and they just did it for bragging rights. A few of them did make solid money off resale though, but the kids that did it to show off were typical supreme douches.
Titus69They just wanna be able to say they have it
I agree with you and i think it is a waste, but this is pretty much the only reason people collect anything whether it be art, shoes, stamps, supreme etc. They enjoy looking at it/ showing it off so power to them i guess..

Its just like, cool dude you have a rare clothing article that cost you way to much and you dont wear it. Resale is the only logical thing to it, my friend in HS was a sneakerhead but apparently made a lot off buying low and selling high, never told anyone how much he made though but he actually would wear some of the rare shoes at least.

Sometimes I'll buy something with the intentions of having something quality or nice, but never wear it out of fear of ruining it. Sometimes it's not even nice, I have a new pair of Vans, but I still wear my ratty old pair cus I don't want to ruin the new ones even tho a new pair of Vans isn't the same as Gucci pumps... There's no way I'd buy "designer", there would just be a bunch of clothes/shoes/bags sitting in my room.
It's understandable why people collect those kinds of things. Status symbols, fitting in, everybody telling you that a designer brand is "better" quality, maybe your siblings or best friends got you into collecting. Sometimes just having something in your hand with that tangibility of designer is a nice feeling. Just seems kinda pointless to buy wearable goods but treat them like glass just cus of the brand name, IMO.
J_Shonestly the shipping really pushes me away, that's the tipping point for me
Yeah I can understand why. I ordered some stuff on the 8th of February and its scheduled to be delivered on Saturday March 4th. In all honesty though they sell sweet gear at a solid price during sales, so I don't mind waiting.

Reminds me of when I started wearing janoskis, not because they were trendy or cool then but because they're a good ass skate shoe. Once I got them all the kids who also had "skater style" wore them but didn't really actually skateboard. Always had and still buy the classic black and white ones, while others after me got stupid ass looking ones they customized or got the ones with stupid patterns Nike designed. Wore my first pair for pretty much all of freshmen year even though they were torn and always had different laces every couple of weeks from skating. Other kids in my grade would actually clean theirs while I gave no fucks because they're meant to be destroyed and their shoes. they'd also end up getting a few pairs a year because theirs would just get to dirty to keep cleaning. Still buy janoskis or other Nike sb shoes, but God that type of shit pissed me off, luckily my friends noticed it too and at least didn't act like posers if they had them.

That sucks honestly, I remember various trends circulating around like that. That confuses me how some kids would actually have enough time to clean their shoes. Clean. Shoes. No thank you, that's a bit much. My high school wasn't exactly like that but there were some groups of kids who would behave like that. Posing as skaters, yet never saw them going to the park. Posing as skiers/boarders, never saw them on the hill. Thankfully, my town was small enough that if someone was talking big game but had nothing to back it up, people would know or call them out on it. At least your friends knew and weren't lame about it so that's good, considering.
Once I start wearing a pair of shoes, I wear them until they're almost unwearable. Probably about time I just start using the new ones but can't let go of a perfectly broken in shoe, even with holes in them.

Yeah some of the kids from my schools town are ridiculously spoiled shits, friends with most of them somewhat but still think they're just fake.
Many of them have previously skated but the town is super athletic, so they all got serious about sports in high school. So some of them I was cool with when it came to that type of shit. Luckily most of my friends are skiers so they do other things like wakeboard, longboard, etc. I guess my parents also raised me in a way where I was taught to use things for what they're intended to be used for, and not to want things to gain some type of approval from others which I slowly learned after middle school when I tried hard, mostly because I was from the next town over which only has a school k-6 and wanted to fit in. I was still friends with most of those kids because we were all in the same clique but I still think a lot of them were fake, one of my OG elementary school friends started to be a straight asshole to me whenever around other "cool" kids. He went onto date the same girl, wear the same clothes, and listen to the same music as one of my skiing buddies. Luckily everyone else shits on him too for that.

yeah, I'm pretty sure the friend who copied all of my ski buddies personality had them, always shoes me pics of other stupid looking color combos of janoskis or other stupid trendy shoes he was gonna buy. Well by he I really mean his rich daddy. Really don't give a shit anymore lol, I'd just laugh inside because I think it's funny people care about their image enough to do that stuff. Might be that I'm a very simple person

Im at that stage with my vans. I have a ratty pair of black vans and a new pair of vans and I've worn the new pair like twice in fear ill scuff em and turn them to shit.

It might be dependent on items you bought and where you're located at. I ordered on like february 24th give or take and get it tomorrow

Yea, exactly! Glad it's not just me. I've had this pair of gray Vans for at least 3 years, I don't remember when I got them or what style they are. They're very ratty and I suspect the right one is worn down more than the left from my shitty technique on crutches for the summer. But I can't really see myself tossing them cus they still function as shoes!
The other pair I have is sort of this cream ivory color with pink palm near the ankle area. I still don't know why I thought light colored shoes were the way to go but oh well. I need to start wearing them, that's for sure.

Yeah, I always order their sale stuff like smash and grab, that combined with me living in Michigan is probably why it takes a while.
Part of the reason I get Jiberish is because it's similar to supreme, but it's not supreme...Yet. It's not super overhyped and all but they put out some unique gear.

Wow 3 years for a pair of vans i stopped wearing them cause I'd shred them in like 3 months.

Haha I always have people at school.asking why my shoes are so worn. I wear my Adidas busenitz vulc which so far I haven't seen any other kid wear them, but I always see people wear janoskis and old skools. Sometimes even supras.
