Don't know if theres already a mega-thread for this, but the best skiing beer thread inspired me to make this. What are your favorite beers? What u sippin on? I'm normally living in Vermont, but right now I'm in Colorado for a week sipping a Lone Tree Horchata Stout. Great apres ski dark beer!
On the hill taking laps I take it easy and cheap. PBR or Coors light. After the day is done something nice and dark, sierra nevada pale ale or a Guinness.
Profahoben_212At least go Busch heavy. Wayyy better
I'm all about the Schmidt's for cheapo beer.
Busch heavy has it's place in the rotation too. Never heard of this Schmidt. I like the fish! Looks like one of those regional brands the big guys are using to sling cheap suds.
Around here Henry's is now cheap beer in cans. Got an 18 pack for the same price as Rolling Rock. Stuff used to be like craft beer way back in the day. Way different beer now. Still good when it's really cold and it has a picture of Mt. Hood.

Yeah it is a regional dealio....i think it's a great plains beer....never seen it west of South Dakota. Real old beer though....dad used to drink it in highschool in the 70s. I would assume one of the big dogs owns them now. Their cans are the shit though. Scientifically Proven to make you fish better.
Blimes are a great summer beer. If your in utah try mamas milk from vernal brewing. Great coffee stout and its like 8% so it will get you where you want to be

ThatSkiierKidd64Cant lie but Rainier is an all time favorite. An 18 of that and im set for the day.
Another local classic that got bought up and changed by the big boys. It used to be a fuller maltier flavor similar to the new rainier pale mountain ale that they've been selling limited runs of recently. When it was a local brewery they sold 12 packs of the 16oz bottles for cheap. Friends and I got people to buy them for us a couple times before they stopped making it. After that they tried selling a high gravity malt liquor as Rainier Ale. I remember it coming in green glass 40oz bottles. Stuff was almost undrinkable and people called it green death for good reason. Luckily those went away and the current stuff is pretty much like most of the mass produced lagers and pretty decent when ice cold.

Now thats a juicy piece of history. I don't think I was ever fortunate enough to try one of the old Raniers. I like to call them Vitamin Rs because they go down like water and I think they are the easiest to abuse. Having three IPAs in a row makes me want to puke
adamgoldbandDefinetly Padst Blue Ribbon (pbr). Its cheap easy to slam and has a decent taste no question its on top
The rise of PBR is another interesting tale. Correlates with the discontinuation of Blitz Weinhard and the good Rainier pounders. A couple of bars happened to start selling Pabst right when some guys at corporation were wondering about the future of the brand. They saw their opening and bam Pabst was suddenly being pushed as the cheap beer everywhere in Portland and all over the NW. https://www.wweek.com/culture/2018/05/22/in-the-early-2000s-a-woodstock-pub-almost-single-handedly-saved-the-pbr-brand/
1. Cold Beer
2. Luke Warm Beer
3. At Beast its Beer
4. Fuck I Spilled my Beer on my Jacket and now I Have to Drink it off my Jacket Before it Absorbs Into the Fabric
For PA Id rather grab a victory Hop Devil. Yungers arent bad though.
In Michigan for the first time in a while. Bought 3 12 packs of Bells 2 hearted ale and a 6er, and a 6er of porters.
Bells brewery is an awesome place to see a show. Havent been in 6 years though but seeing a big Kzoo band up north at a bluegrass festival. Figured it only made sense to go all in with bells.
I wish it was more distributed.
In the plus last weekends fest was summercamp. Usually sponsored by goose island but they switched to lagunitas this year.I really dont mind the goose island ipa but even though lag is just as coorporate I like theyre beers more and they had multiple options. I think goose was just the ipa offered in the past where lag had 12 of never, lil sumpin, and 1 or 2 others. Mostly drank 12 of nevers cause I dig them and we got like 5 free cases for our camp.

Love 12th of nevers....so easy to drink.
Lagunitas is a super awesome beer company as far as new/dank beers goes.
