You can't just constantly flex a ski and not expect the layers to eventually delam, whereas a stiffer ski is not plagued with this issue. The fiberglass cannot constantly flex against itself forever, and hold constant rigidity. It will become 'tired' and begin to separate from itself. If I'm so wrong, then please explain why the noodles out there are notorious for delam, and the delamed 2x4's of newschoolers are few and far between.
