Hi Newschoolers
I'm looking into buying this seasons ski. I have a pair of piste ski (head worldcup rebels i.slr) and a older pair of Rossingnol Scratch FS that I'm looking into replacing.
I'm considering replacing the scratch with the new Armada ARV since it seems to be focused around having fun. Which is what i need for that pair of skis. But I'm in doubt if I should choose the 86 or 96 version.
I'm not going to use it as a piste ski but for when I need to have fun in the side of the slopes and in the park. When I'm out with family and friends that are skiing slower than me etc. I'm an intermediate park rider I can do box slides, short rail slides and 360's.
I'm usually skiing in Europe but next season I'll be swinging by Whisler in BC for 10 days as well.
Obviously the 86 will be close to my scratch that I have today. But the 96 would maybe give me a more freedome in going slightly offpiste (especially know that I'm passing Whistler).
Will the 96 feel more heavy and slow on jumps and rails or will it be too little to notice for my level?
What would you recommend? Offcourse the ideal will be the 86 and a large pair of offpiste skis but carrying 3 pair of skis is a bit too much and I don't have friends or family to ride offpiste with..
And a side not:
My scratchs are mounted with Look PX12ti bindings. Can i safely have the shop to move those bindings to the new one or are they too old to be safe - and I should rather buy a new pair of bindings?
Thanks
Anders
