Whistler Summer Camp Jobs (Momentum, COC)

Has anyone ever worked at a summer camp or for the resort up in Whistler? I've looked online and can't seem to find any information. This is a ski website. I feel like at least ONE person has some information...

I am curious about:

-Positions
-Pay
-Ski Time
-Hours
-Accomodations
-Pay
-Benefits
-How and When to Apply (Summer 2017)
-Experiences

and of course,

-the "chill factor"

As well as any other notable information. I'm also from down south of da' border if that helps.


Any information on being a digger, coach, counselor, cook, ect would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Unless you have a work visa, it's illegal for Americans to work for a Canadian company. Also they hire these jobs in the spring, even if you could work there I doubt they're looking anymore.

its easy to become a digger at momentum, but its really not worth it. you have to buy a daypass for $65 everyday.

Because you're working for a camp...this guys is probably talking about dig to ski situations, not actually being an employee of the camp, because employees get passes AND get paid.

So wait, Momentum doesn't cover the costs of their employees to reach the hill? Becoming a digger would mean that I would have to pay everyday to work?

Like I said, hes probably talking about a dig to ride program. Diggers get paid, free housing and passes.

Yeah I meant dig to ride. Im sure there are diggers getting paid there as well, but as you said those positions get taken early, and you need connections.

dig to ride is fairly laid out in my opinion. you do a couple of hours of work everyday and they give you free access to their park. all you have to do is get to the glacier.

and all the work that you do is pretty basic stuff. put the flags in, rake the lips and maybe throw some salt around. everything else like the park builds is done by the full time guys.

Really the only big no-no is working for a Canadian company. If you work for an US company or you're a freelancer, you can travel to Canada for work and work in Canada.
