So basically im in 11th grade and I'm failing my math class. Its a college level class so Its not like I'm failing algebra 1 but it still sucks. In the beginning of the quarter I had the stomach flu and a broken arm which made me miss two weeks of school. Those were the fundamentals for the unit and when ever I tried to make it up I could not understand it. So now here's the tricky thing im gonna be at mt. hood for probably 2 months. If anyone could give me any tips or ideas on what to do because I can't go to summer school. Last semester I had a B but this semester i just need to pass..I have a 44% in the class cus the teacher made me take the two tests I missed right away and I got a 40% on one and a 15% on the other.......tests are 80% of our grade. If anyone has any good study habits,tips, or insults lay them on me. Thanks!

How many math credits do you need to graduate? In NY it's 3 and anyone who was in an AP(college) class had already completed the required amount and added the AP class on.
In which case, you would not need to take it in summer school because you don't technically need the class. You also would have time to retake it(next year) if you really wanted to.

Im usually in this situation every 2nd semester of every year. It's been that way since middle school for me. I let my grades suffer during the first semester (cause of ski season). Then ski season ends and it's the fourth quarter and I'm failing or close to failing several classes. I'm kind of in that position right now but I'm not sweating it too much.
I don't have any excuses for my bad grades. It's cause I'm a lazy dumbass. I am not a scholarly person at all. But when the 4th quarter rolls around, I write down what I need to do to pass all my classes and I put it in action. I highly recommend that you have a meeting with your teacher to know what you need to do to pass. It helps a lot.

Have you paid for Hood, do your parents know about your grades? Honestly, take summer school & do things around your town so you can not BE HELD BACK IN SCHOOL kill your GPA, and ruin potential college scholarships/opportunities.
You need to talk to your teachers NOW and explain your situation. Talk to a school dean if need be.

Teacher wouldnt let me wait a week to get caught up she said I had to take the tests before the end of the day.

Just work hard, stay after a lot. Ive had a shitty history with math and all my mom made me do was stay after and also get a tutor. Work your ass off and itll pay off.

Life lesson from this situation-If you ever have medical emergencies, be in constant contact with your workplace/school. Almost all places will be willing to work with you so long as you actively update them with the situations.

Seriously though, just get a tutor, sit next to the nerd or ask your friends for help. I use to have a similar mindset but I realized if I get this shit over with now and just pass I wont have to do it again. If its a first year math course at the college level it still isn't that hard, just grind out all the homework questions in your textbook, do all the worksheets that your teacher probably gave you, ask your teacher for help, like basic stuff dude. It takes like 30 seconds of thinking to realize this..
If it comes down to it, school > working at Mt. Hood over summer. Its not like you'll never go skiing there again if you miss one summer.

Just drop and add the class for next year. You clearly didn't care enough to do good enough the first time anyway. If it's AP just scrape for a C and do good on the AP test.
Can you retake the tests that you bombed? If so, then do it, even if it's only for partial credit. As well as that, study your ass off so you can ace your final.

I'm assuming it's A.P. Calc, and you have to try to get a 15%. If it's in the A.P. Format you get at least 3 points in a long answer just for rewriting the problem. I skipped all of fst and pre calc and went right into A.P. Calc. Almost failed my first tri, so I studied my ass off and got b's and a's the rest of the year
There is really no excuse for not passing a high school math class. Likely you're not putting in the meager 2 hours of work every day after school so you should get off newschoolers, stop watching edits and start learning. As said before use your resources like khan academy. You know how you pass classes in high school?
Show up. Pay attention. Do your homework. Ask questions when you don't understand. You said your teacher is being unreasonable. Either go talk to them or seek help from other teachers. My mom is a high school math teacher who constantly helps out kids from other classes.
You could've been studying while you were injured. You could've talked to your schools administration about missing that many days of class. But that's in the past. Stop bitching and go study. You don't have to be Einstein to make it through high school you just have to actually put some effort into what you're doing. It sounds like you still have a little bit of time to make up at least the 6 points you need to make it to 50% - have you tried speaking to your teacher and quite literally asking THEM what you can do to make it up? If you're struggling to understand the material, ask if there is a way that you can sit with them or another tutor to get you where you need to be to do well on the finals.
Try taking some initiative, admit that you fucked up to the person who can actually do something to help you rather than coming to NS where you're likely to find nothing helpful at all.
