1080's and their reputation

I bought the first 1080's when they first came out. Skiing was never the same for me again. I had another pair of 1080's and I loved them for skiing bumps and the park. I am just curious why everyone hates them so much. It was sort of interesting though, because my dynastar 4x4's and my 1080's were right next to eachother during a fire. The flames never touched the skis, but the extreme heat destroyed them. The dynastars had minimal damage, but the 1080's were f*cked. The edges were seperating from the base and I can see the foam on the inside. The tips, well....they are no longer tips curved. Is the construction on the 1080's really that bad?

Sure, the later Salomons have had issues... But I really don't think fire resistance has anything to do with ski performance or construction.

yo yo yo guy the reason is simple, dawg. You must first understand the ridicoulous amount of faggots on this site, when u fully comprehend that u can now realize that these same people think that the second anything goes maybe 10% mainstream no matter what the quality, they automatically hate it, you see, guy, these are the same kids you see in the park rocking the liberties or ninthward skis and sucking balls.
