Hello kindred spirits!
I'm doing some research about the best resort for spring skiing/boarding and was hoping you all could help me out! Which resorts in North America and why!
Thank you!!

[J_Gasper]Colorado: A-basin
Utah: Snowbird
Oregon/Cali: anywhere, really
BC: Whistler
Wyoming: Jackson Hole
dan4060I don't know if I would say Jackson just because they have to close early, or so I have heard. They have a deal with the Forest Service about when to close, so it does not matter how good the snow is. I'm not positive about that, you should check, but I believe that is the case.
Tahoe and Mammoth are great on a good snow year. Fun turns in slushy steeps, and the top of Mammoth sometimes stays wintery all through April. Squaw would cut down to their big 5 lifts, Mammoth does the same thing, but there is still lots of great terrain available and you can hike just about anything you want. I remember hiking Granite Peak 4 to 5 times and skiing Direct Chute off the top, then skiing Corkscrew when the peak got too slushy. I really loved living at Squaw. Expect to hike more in the spring, but the turns are still great. I love skiing steeps in slush.
[J_Gasper]Well yeah, but thats not until the 3rd week of April I think. But other than maybe Crags and Headwall, the resort is usually 100% until it closes which is nice.
