I moved into my current house last September and everything was perfect except for the Skunk that lived under my house.
The skunk wasn't a problem at first, beside the odd scare when taking out the garbage. It really didn't end up being a problem until last weekend when it couldn't handle the snow/cold any longer. The skunk began clawing its way underneath my bedroom flooring. I woke up in the middle of the night last week to the sound of the my little critter friend eating it's baby under my bedroom floor boards. The sound, unforgettable.
Things took a turn for the worse after the 10-15minutes of the baby skunk screaming. The smell started to pour into my vents. Within minutes the whole entire house smelled like skunk discharge. Why didn't I call the exterminator the next day? Ignorance I guess, I decided to play it out for another week in hope the Skunk would be at peace after destroying its new born. I was wrong, the skunk decided to treat me to another ventilation discharge at 3 in the morning last night while clawing at my floor boards in desperation to avoid the flooding from all the melting snow over the weekend.
Why am I sharing this awful story? Needed to vent (pun intended) while the exterminator does his thing. Anyone else care to share any of his or her skunk encounters?
