How to do backflip/frontflip?

How should i attempt both of these flips without getting hurt? Should i try something like a flat spin or flat 5 first or no?+k

Easy answer take it to the trampoline do both 10 times successful on a tramp, then take it to an air bag same time 10 times successful then you can try it on snow!

Just send the backflip.. main thing is commitment and it helps to be prepared- before I went for them on skis i could already double backflip on tramp and backflip off slides at the park and stuff.. not saying you have to make sure 100% you wont mess up but it wouldnt hurt to get really comfortable with backflips on tramp. Best way to try it is on a nice pooppy jump with enough air for a flip and a powder landing.

Take it to airbag first. For backies you just got set harder, front flips are hard for me. I don't like set/pop properly and under rotate and die. They get easier though

Backflips. You can spot your landing before you land. To throw them, you need to actually pop off the jump, I have seen people just throw back and you can get hurt doing that. Think about popping and then throwing the flip.

Learn to do them on everything you can. Trampoline, divingboard, off ledges, flatground, etc. The more adaptable you are with flips the easier they will become on skis.

Fronts for me are less scary but more difficult, backs are easier but definitely more intimidating

my first backy was just a fuck it and huck it on a cornice jump at vail that its almost easier to backflip than to not. same run as delorme's last little charging insta is on. make sure you can send comfortable layouts on a tramp that land in the exact same spot as where you started, after that its really just about some good snow and some big ol nuts

I just built a kicker in my back yard, threw some soft snow on the landing, and committed. I am super comfortable with backflips on a tramp and off of bridges and stuff, but it still took me 6 tries to get it. As long as you commit you wont fuck yourself up too bad the firs couple of tries.

Honestly man just send that backflip you're going to fuck yourself over by thinking about it obviously make sure its safe conditions and send it with any trick just remember commitment is key. If you commit i bet youll stomp the fuck outta it

never tried a backie on tramp or airbag. Just said fuck it and got closer than I thought I would. Trying it again next weekend...

Do it off of a jump that is pretty big because it is easier to layout on spot the landing. If you do it off a small jump you basically have to huck it. Just have your friends hype you up.

If you really wanna be super prepared learn it on the tramp to the point that you can land it perfectly every time. Be able to go huge into a foam pit and glide it to your feet and be able to do a faster one on a tramp. Be able to control your rotation so if you want you can keep going and land on your back or slow your rotation and land on your stomach. It helps as well if you know how to do a standing backflip. Once you've mastered backflips you should have no problems doing them on skis.

honestly just nut up and be tough and send it. I'm in PA so similar situation with snow and i started trying flat 3's a couple weekends ago. got a little banged up but feels so good to get your first attempts out of the way
