i suggest finding someone at ur hill who knows how to ride pipe and is generally a nice guy and ask him to take u under his wing...

Figure out how hard you have to pop to land in the tranny, once you got that down don't be scared drop into the pipe with some speed the faster you go the higher you go. Oh yeah, WAX YOUR SKIS. Hope that helps

when u get to the top try to jump straight up but not pop towards the flat, it takes some practice but u will get it as long as u just go for it

ok, heres how to learn pipe: pick a spot where you're comfortable dropping in so that you can go straight intot he wall without speed checking. even try just dropping in straight and seeing how big you can go with not much speed. next, once you're comfortable with that, ski along the deck for a little bit before dropping in to get a bit more speed. once you're comfortable with that try dropping from a little higher, then a little higher, and keep dropping from higher with more speed until you're going huge.

Everybody is telling you to pump the tranny, but that's assuming you know what that means, which you might but I'll just try to define it in case you don't. To put it simply, it's like riding a swing. The goal is to maintain speed, and control, in the transition between the walls. Drop in with some speed and when you hit the flat, bend your knees a little. Keep your weight forward and extend as you ride up the wall. Start off with straight airs to get the used to riding pipe because it is pretty different compared to the skiing you're normally used to. As you get more comfortable you will get into a nice rhythm when pumping the tranny and you won't even have to think about it anymore.

I forgot to mention that you should also pump once after you land. Use your hands too, that helps me. And ya ^, a nice pipe makes a huge difference. We don't have any nice ones around here, so I'll only ride them when I go out of state for ski trips.
