Off brand batteries

I'm in need of some extra batteries for my t5i. What difference is there between "Canon" batteries and off brands? Should I just stick with canon or is there nothing to worry about with the others. I'm looking to save some money because I'll be picking up a few of them.

Nothing wrong with offbrand. They typically even have higher energy storage capacity

i use big mikes and they hold same charge for sony
